Kerri Allen is a New York City journalist whose pithy pieces have run in The New York Times, Time Out New York, Alternative Medicine magazine, The L Magazine and more. Her work has been translated into Portuguese, Korean, French and Swedish. None of which she can read.

She will travel to Amsterdam this June to speak at the 2009 Holland Festival about media and Latino performing arts in NYC. She'll be there at the same time as Antony and the Johnsons, even if his show is sold out. He can still come to hers. (Are you listening, Antony?)

American and European outlets have interviewed her as a performing arts expert, and her alma mater, Rutgers University, recently profiled her in Rutgers Magazine.

Kerri is a graduate of The New York Times Institute for Journalism and landed a $3,000 writing fellowship from the Jerome Foundation in 2005. Kerri won First Place for critical writing from the NJ Press Association in 2001.
